Why most of the companies depends on open source software ...??

       In fact , My current organization uses many open source software . We may ask our self that why cannot they buy paid software instead and don’t they have enough money for buying it ..?!   ;)

 Recently I realized that why companies they recommend open source , because you  get the same features and usability on both  , only difference is the further support from them we cannot expect  in case if any problem comes out. If you compare in depth there are no difference in usage , only you find the UI part. Still both does the same job without any hassle. 

I recommend since you and your company don’t want to invest for buying a software ,better go for open source.

I have been using few open source software in my current organization and they are ;

Mozilla Thunder Bird  -  E-Mail Client.
Pfsense -  A Software Firewall with Load Balancer.
Freebx – A VoIP Software Administration Tool and really it is great .
Asterisk-  Using for VoIP configurations.
Open Office Org – Instead of Microsoft Office.
Tight VNC –  Remote Administration.
Xlite – IP Software Phone

There are many other software too….just search and try to explore more.
