Crack Password of any windows based computer operating systems SAM File Method

To rename or crack password you may use cmd means command prompt or any Third Party Tools like ERD or Hiren Boot or of course your windows bootable disk or  recovery media.

1. copy c:\windows\system32\config\sam c:\windows\tmp\sam.bak
   delete c:\windows\system32\config\sam
   copy c:\windows\repair\sam c:\windows\system32\config\sam
   
   Note This procedure assumes that you have Windows XP installed in the following default location:
   c:\windows
2. Restart the computer by using the original installation of Windows XP.

If you cannot restore the SAM file by using either Method 1 or Method 2, you must reinstall Windows XP to replace the SAM file.

->Using Third Part Tools : Please download Hiren Boot or ERD ISO file and make it bootable.

Now Please Boot your CD from USB Pendrive or Bootble CD & Choos Mani XP

Using Hiren Boot Please folow the steps:

Notet : In Hren Boot Mini XP (C: drive is consider as X: so please asume C as X when you do it practically)

This Method is call SAM file.

1.Please make sure you rename your sam file from SAM or sam to SAMold or samold.

2.SAM file location

C:\WINDOWS\repair

 - Size must be 24 KB

 -Latter should be upper or lower case but when you copy this file to config folder make sure you make this   file as same as config's same latter.
2.Location of Config folder

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config

- Size must be 256 KB

Now See difference between both folder's file one is upper case & another is in lower case.

you have to make this file as same as (in lower or upper) repair sam file which is of 24 kb  .

before copy & past in repair folder to config folder make sure you make a copy of old same file or rename it to prevent further issue.

Now you done.Please reboot your system & Log in with

User Name : Blank or Administrator or administrator
Password : Blank (Not in Word : Means Nothing) or Administrator or administrator
